Coil launches its new website

A new digital identity, reflecting the modernity and innovation of the Aloxide® brand

A new showcase for the Company, the www.aloxide.com and www.coil.be website reflects COIL's dynamism and premium image. It is the reference for anodized aluminium with its exceptional dimensional capacity and the widest range of brightness, texture, colour and thickness of anodic film.

Entirely redesigned, this new site gives a special place to Aloxide®, pure and authentic anodised aluminium products offering optimal longevity and a true metallic finish for the building and industrial sectors.

Aloxide® capitalizes on the expertise of COIL, which for more than 45 years has been the only continuous subcontractor for the main producers of flat rolled aluminium products in Europe, to meet the most demanding international quality criteria as well as the most specific specifications.

Aloxide® products have been adopted for many years by high-end luxury brands and used worldwide in architecture to adorn residential, commercial or institutional buildings designed by leading international architectural firms.

An optimized platform to enhance the customer experience in just a few clicks

Beyond a modern graphic design, this new website offers an in-depth discovery of the Company's values and offers. Navigation is simple and practical, with three main entry points: the Aloxide® process, the breadth of the product offering and the premium quality of its products and services.

As you browse, you can learn more about the Company's creativity, its eco-responsibility, search for a specific type of finish or color, or get carried away by discovering the contributions of Aloxide® products to large-scale architectural projects.

The site is also e-commerce oriented for professionals: consultation of technical data sheets, information on product availability, online quote requests, and contact information are new features offered for a better user experience. More interactive, the site also makes available as easily as possible additional information of a more technical nature: guides, simplified sample requests, assistance dedicated to the implementation of architectural projects.

Coil reveals ambitious plans for early compliance with new EU 2030 climate and energy targets

The European Commission’s 2030 climate and energy framework includes EU-wide targets and policy objectives for the period 2021 - 2030.

The key targets for 2030 for the European Commission are:

  • at least 40% cuts in greenhouse gas emissions (from 1990 levels)
  • at least 32% share for renewable energy
  • at least 32.5% improvement in energy efficiency

Coil has launched an ambitious plan which is designed to already in 2020 meet – and even exceed -the targets of the European Commission.

At our production plant in Bernburg, Germany, the plan is to operate with 100% CO²-free energy by end-2020.  This will be achieved with the installation of solar panels on the free land on the factory site and on the roofs of the production halls. This will be coupled with a cogeneration system with biogas. Any excess energy and heat-  beyond the Company’s own consumption - will be sold into the grid.

At our production site in Landen, Belgium, a cogeneration system has already been operating successfully for a number of years..  A new solar panel installation on the roofs of the existing factory is scheduled to be installed in 2020.

In both plants several actions have already been taken to reduce energy consumption and to improve energy efficiency, such as the use of LED lights and the implementation of energy monitoring systems in accordance with the ISO 50001 Standard.

About the company

Coil is the world's leading anodiser in the building and industrial sectors and trades under the ALOXIDE brand name.

Anodising is an electrochemical process which develops a natural, protective oxide layer on the surface of aluminium and can be coloured in a range of UV-proof finishes. It gives the metal excellent resistance to corrosion and/or reinforces its functional qualities. Anodising preserves all the natural and ecological properties of aluminium; it retains its high rigidity and excellent strength-to-weight ratio, its non-magnetic properties, its exceptional resistance to corrosion. The metal remains totally and repeatedly recyclable through simple remelting. Anodised aluminium is used in a wide variety of industries and applications: architecture, design, manufacturing and the automotive sector. COIL deploys an industrial model that creates value by leveraging its unique know-how, its operational excellence, the quality of its investments and the expertise of its people. COIL has around 130 employees in Belgium and Germany and generated a turnover of around €30 million in 2019.
