The office building "The Portal" is situated in the city of Drammen, Norway and has been designed by the architect Lund + Slaatto Arkitekter.
The project's expression and materiality seeks to combine the technological and the humane. All surfaces in the facades are part of a warm color palette, for which Copper 30 color has been chosen, which complements the building's metallic and glassy skins and reflectors.
Our X-Bond product got transformed into ACPs and is covering the canopy at the entrance.
The facades are largely clad with solar panels in glass, framed by batch anodised profiles, which are based on our product lines X-3D and X-Wall. |

Brite Surface Finish available as X-Flex Brite |

The flexible anodic film developed in the continuous coil anodising process means that the surface is ideally for forming shapes after anodising without losing any of the benefits of aspect or surface uniformity or protection. For this purpose, our X-Flex product line is well known. This product is now also available as X-Flex Brite. The picture shows X-Flex Brite, transformed into shingles, based on 0,8 mm gauge metal, combined with a 10 microns anodic layer thickness. |

Just like the Louvre Lens museum, which is for many architects and designers the project to come across our Brite finish, Seecell is using in exterior as well in interior our Brite surface finish.
The lower area of the building is made of concrete walls, slabs and beams. The upper part is using the high reflective Brite surface finish, based on X-Bond Brite.
Concrete and pre-anodised aluminium partially overlap at one point, ensuring spatial-constructive unity. |
