Citizen Science test - picture

Which type of citizen scientist are you? Take the test!

Still looking for something fun to do during the summer holidays? A citizen science project might be just the thing for you. With this test, you can quickly find out what type of citizen scientist you are. This summer, we're also putting a different profile in the spotlight each week with a fun video. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or Bluesky so you don't miss a thing.

Are you starting or managing a citizen science project yourself? Then this test is for you too. You will not only discover which profile suits your project best, but you’ll also discover inspiring examples of other projects.

At Scivil, we’re keen to find out more about the citizen science landscape. Does your project match one of the profiles, or do you think a profile is missing? Let us know at info@scivil.be. That way, we can include your project in our database and showcase it on social media.

Call for Flemish speakers: Improve AI transcripts for Maarallee

With Maarallee (in Dutch), we’re building a large-scale dataset of Flemish speech and you can help! Download the Maarallee app, record voicenotes in your own dialect or accent, and help AI understand Flemish.

Now you can also correct the AI transcripts via Zooniverse. Although the AI model is already performing very well, the automatic transcripts still contain errors that require human input. By listening to and correcting audio clips, you’re making a direct contribution to improving Flemish speech recognition.
