First monitoring campaign of Buren Meten: Hoogspanningslijnen

At the beginning of September, the first monitoring campaign of 'Buren Meten: Hoogspanningslijnen', was launched in Wilsele (Leuven). In this citizen science project, residents place a sensor in their homes for one week to measure the magnetic fields generated by a nearby high-voltage power line. They then pass the sensor on to a neighbour, allowing the measurements to spread throughout the neighbourhood. Additional monitoring campaigns will take place this autumn in Boven-Lo and Wondelgem. In this way, local residents work together to collect valuable data about their living environment.
