Interview

"I’ve noticed that the guide has truly contributed to a more structured approach to communication within citizen science projects. Whereas communication used to be an afterthought, we now see that initiators consider it an essential part of their project."

Hilde Devoghel

Each month, Scivil interviews someone about their experiences with citizen science. This month, we spoke with Liesbeth Gijsel, Hilde Devoghel, and Carina Veeckman, the driving forces behind our communication guide 'Communication in Citizen Science'. They share insights into the how and why of creating a communication guide and explain why it remains highly relevant today.
