We hope this newsletter finds you in good health and ready for a well-deserved winter break.
As the year approaches, we'd like to take a moment to look back at our shared accomplishments. This past year was filled with both challenges and opportunities, and we're proud to say that our staff, members, and ambassadors at End FGM EU worked tirelessly to continue supporting efforts to eliminate FGM in Europe and globally.
Through our collective efforts, we have raised awareness about good practices to end FGM through our annual campaign and advocated for upcoming policies to protect girls and women from this harmful practice. Through our projects, we have platformed youth voices and designed training and intervention models for health professionals, teachers, and community leaders to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to prevent FGM from happening.
Our network has also grown, and we have connected with more organisations and individuals passionate about ending FGM. This year, we welcomed four new Member organisations and five new Board members to our Network. We have also collaborated with other organisations, such as our Global Platform to End FGM/C partners, to strengthen our collective impact and promote a globally coordinated response to this issue.
As we look ahead to the new year, we know much work still needs to be done. We remain committed to our mission of ending FGM, and we will continue to work towards a future where girls and women are free from this harmful practice.
Thank you for your continued support. We are grateful for another year of walking together #Road2EndFGM.
We wish you all a happy holiday season and a prosperous new year.
