Call for NGOs to sign a statement against H.R. 3492

On May 19, 2025, American Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced H.R. 3492, a bill that dangerously conflates FGM/C with gender-affirming care to justify banning the latter nationwide.

The U.S. End FGM/C Network and partners have drafted a joint statement strongly condemning this harmful legislation. The End FGM European Network signed it and we invite NGOs to join us and urge Congress to reject H.R. 3492.
